My Nth trip to US Day 6

Been settling down. Toured around my brother's new campus with my brother. I have always envied the campuses in U.S. They looked so beautiful, with varying classical architecture and old buildings and elaborate sculptures. My campus paled in comparison. Sometimes I wonder why people like me can live in such a nice place like Vancouver and not appreciate it, prefering to sit in my room watching movies on my PC. That is why I decided when I get back to Vancouver I am going to view it from a tourist's perspective instead of from a been-here-for-two-years-student's perspective. There must be more interesting things that I can observe and immerse in, in this city which is voted as best place to live in for years.

Could not stand the sun. I asked for the sun when it rained and the chilly wind howled in Vancouver, now I realized that I prefered the chilly wind.

Finished reading another book - Next by Michael Crichton, the guy who has written Jurassic Park. It is a book about genetic modification and its impact on lives on several characters. I have to admit it was a pretty interesting and thought-provoking book - which explains why I read it for more than 10 hours today. I wish I was so enthusiastic when I study. There are talking animals, mad scientists, and strange - and sometimes disturbing - journal articles in the story. Weird that my brother gave up on it after 5 minutes of reading. Anyway you should read it if you are into books.

Anyway I should go to sleep soon. Not looking forward to the head-splitting headache tomorrow.
