American Idol
Watched American Idol last night. Those participants were good - real good. And I get to see Barry Manilow (the guy who sang 'Mandy') - he looks a bit like Rod Steward. Some of them were even as young as 16 years old, and I can't tell you - their voice and behaviour are much more matured than what their age might suggest. And the comments from the judges were benevolent - except of course dear old Simon. There was one participant, Taylors who manage to rouse up the audience's mood and danced pretty well, but his vocal abilities was above-average, not great. Randy and Paula liked him, and praised him, but Simon said his performance was ridiculous - like singing in a karaoke box! Then Paula began to maul Simon with, "He only said that because he can't dance", "He is jealous of you","He can't even do a single dance move", etc...And you know how it'd be when common woman gets all excited and feverous - that's what happened to Paula. Simon looked so helpless, all the audience booed at him while he was trying to justify himself, "It's a singing competition, not a dancing competition", "Paula, you're whopping up trash", etc.
