Finished Half-life, finally
After many hours of headcracking, cussing, save-loading, and sleep-skipping, I've finally completed the game. It's really a nice game. Despite its old age (it came out in 1998 if I'm not mistaken), it's still pretty enjoyable. The graphic cannot compare to recent games la, but it has solid gameplay, and blowing things up is always fun (but do not do it in real life please).
Despite its charms, it has some really serious bugs which nearly made me quit. First of all was getting stuck on elevator/elevating objects. I first noticed it at "Surface Tension" when the elevator just stuck and my armour keep on dropping for unknown reason. Since then, the bug's been popping out here and there. It's a royal pain in the ass I tell you, esp. when you're fighting the lass boss. Another bug was the Gonarch (fat mother spider) getting stuck on a shaft causing me to be unable to move on. Have to cheat through my way there.
Then again, I was glad I finally made it. I've played Half-life a few years ago until the point where I face the last boss (but I didn't knew the boss' weakness back then) and somehow my whole Half-life folder got deleted. The ending leaves much to be desired though. Next, how about Half-life 2? Yes?
