Settled and yet to be settled
This morning I woke up at 1.40 a.m. - with the aid of my dear mother - so that I can call the UBC Engineering Services (it is about 8.40 a.m. over Vancouver) to inquire on my problem with the course registration. As the saying goes, "One call solves it all" (My saying, by the way). After I called the department, the problem that's been causing me great distress for 3 days was solved in a breeze: I immediately registered for my favourite (and rather radical) timetable.
Now that this is solved, I got other things to settle. For one thing, I have to apply for my visa which involves quite a bit of work: getting the documents (including my certified copy of transcript), buying a bank draft, ready, travelling to the Canadian High Commission for a few times, undergoing a medical check-up, etc. Besides that, I'm planning to buy a camera for myself (I've been depriving my family of their camera for a month or so) and a laptop (perhaps later). Certainly I need to purchase new parts (memory and hard-disk) for my ageing computer at home and perhaps a compressed air can to do some cleaning and a new mousepad.
I'm so looking forward to the days that I can watch World Cup and anime and chat without care.
