The End of the Days
No, this is not the apocalypse. Just want to inform you guys: I'm (almost) emancipated from Taylor's College - except for my graduation. 2nd semester finals was over on Friday. It's not bad, did pretty well in all the papers. Don't freaking tell me: "That's because you're smart" or whatever - I've really worked very hard to have arrived here (even though I may not look so).
By the way, just an update on what I'm up to recently. Last Saturday, my church had a World-Cup themed service. Quite cun, got small games like timbang football, playing a sort of electrical gadget if you press a button too late you'll be electrocuted (no worries, just a numbing sensation, not agonizing), throwing a ball through tyres (trust me, it's harder than it looks, or perhaps I'm lamer than I look), and one about how long can one's breath last (a competition of cheong-heiness). Then we did Mexican wave, watched a trailer about a Brazilian player - Ze Roberto - giving testimony about Jesus. Then hear a pastor from outside - Rev. Irwin (hope I've got his name correct) - preach. That guy's been preaching for 40+ years, he's simply great. His sermon was powerful, quite different too. To him, life's a party (for those who believe that Christian's cannot enjoy life...haha) and God has thrown us the party. Jesus loves what we love, we love World Cup, he loves it too...(cool, huh)
Now I'm in Kuantan to take my passport and take some pictures for passport/visa uses. I'm planning to return to Subang by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Have to checked out from Ridzuan at Thursday, and I still have lots of junk to clear out (Get a wife!). As usual I'm faced with the dilemma "to keep or not to keep" (I'm planning to read Hamlet soon yeah). All the written assignments, tests, notes, homeworks that I've accumulated for this whole course, should I keep, or should I throw. I know that I most probably will not have time nor the mood to go over them again, but I don't have the heart to throw them because it's the fruit of my hardwork (well, sometimes not that hard) and it reminds me of my days in Taylor's. Although Taylor's is a freaking blood-sucking business group, it's undeniable that they have good lecturers (well, some, not all). I will certainly miss my lecturers who have been so dedicated and so willing to help and so friendly and so kind towards me and so funny. Especially Mr. Sarno, that guy's really one in a million.
(Freaking computer's pretty lag and frustrating now). I'll miss Subang, really. Home is good, of course, but Subang has a lot of sweet memories to me. College, church, Carrefour, the quadri-efficient public transportation, lots of stuff...
Now registering for classes in University of British Columbia in Vancouver. I'm already 3-4 days late (since registration opened at 9th). Hopefully can find a really nice schedule for myself. JPA's been tardy in their dealing with university and college. They haven't even paid for my 2nd semester tuition fees when I'm about to graduate in less than 4 days - talking about increasing the efficiency of public delivery system, bah! They're supposed to determine which university we're going according to what we applied, yet it has yet to take place. And they haven't announced the date for BTN (Biro Tatanegara - one of the brain-washing camp) and psychology course which is compulsory for scholars. This is so going to mess up my great plans for the holidays - read, play, sleep, eat and CONQUERING THE WHOLE WORLD MUAHAHAHA!!!! Anyway I shouldn't complain, did they not gave me a scholarship despite people got better results than me, am I not a patriotic (well, at least decent) and grateful citizen? Well, well...
That's all for now. I'll try to post some pictures and updates soon - I'm not sure when. You guys try to find some other blogs for now haha. 'tis a season of draught...
