Return from GIG Kampar/Ipoh
Whoa! It was an awesome time in GIG (Get Into God). I really learned that no matter how insignificant we think we are, we can still honour God and serve Him. Our position - whether you are a pastor, a church leader - our biblical knowledge, our talent, our eloquence don't matter, it's the heart that matters. God wants our obedience, and our faithfulness - that's the most important thing.
I had a great time singing in the choir, and jumping, and cheering for God (heh heh). There're great music and great songs. I really feel the presence of God, and I really desire for Him to deliver me from the enemy's yoke, to free me from my worries and doubts. I still get distracted when I worship and pray (Forgive me, oh LORD). But I'm slowly grasping the way to surrender everything to the guidance of Holy Spirit. I got the chance to pray for somebody, and to fraternize with lots of people, and make some new friends (people in my church but i never knew them, etc.)
Basically we visited the Canning Garden Baptist Church in Kampar and Ipoh. We led the worship and Pastor Ryan from my church shared the Word with the churches. It's really inspiring to see how many lives were saved, and how they enjoyed the service. Awesome.
Talking about Ipoh, the food there is simply marvellous - tauge chicken, dry curry noodle, fried lai liu har, caramel egg pudding, white coffee, ais kacang, etc etc. Really got fat don't know by how much. The guys were eating at least 4 meals a day. And the serving for each meal is about twice the normal. And I found out that the girls can eat more than the guys (no offense sista!)
Wow, I'm getting more and more spiritual huh. Unlike the free thinker anymore huh. Actually it's a good thing. It's not like if you're a Christian you have to be like a pastor or what. You are still the old you, but with renewed hopes and strength by Him. It's not like your friends will laugh at you and ostracize you or what. I hope I can share my experiences in the walk with God with my friends (of course, not with the Muslims - I feel you all bro!).
Amen.
